Having seen such previous work as the Becher’s Water Tower series, and Edward Ruscha’s Twentysix Gasoline Stations, I became inspired to use this type of readymade photography to form my own typologies. When I started my quest for, what would turn out to be, the illusive abandoned Walmart building, little did I know that I would embark on a journey across five state lines and cover around three-thousand miles.
